high quality organic cannabis

It’s travel season, and if you’re ready to get away, you might be wondering where you can go and enjoy some canna-tourism. Fortunately, all across the globe, there are plenty of interesting places with legal cannabis you can enjoy at your discretion.
Looking to hop the pond? Here are some cannabis-friendly, international spots to check out for your next vacation.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Though cannabis is technically not legal in the Netherlands, we would be remiss to leave this famous destination off the list. The government allows for individuals to possess less than five grams, and the purchase and consumption of cannabis in their infamous coffee shops is permitted. This gorgeous European city has much more to offer than weed, with picturesque architecture, canals, and a fascinating culture and history. You can light up in one of the many coffee shops, then tour the streets with a special appreciation for their beauty.
If you’re looking for gorgeous beaches, lots of wildlife, and a cannabis-friendly vacation, consider adding Uruguay to your list. Montevideo is a great winter destination for residents of the Northern hemisphere. Cannabis has been legal in the country for quite some time, so you can smoke publicly without concern. Try one of the nearby beach resorts for a more laid-back experience of laying on the beach and sipping medio y medio, or take in the charming colonial capital city, Montevideo. Stroll down one of the world’s longest river walks, shop in a busy market, or sit back and toke up in one of the many beautiful parks.
Tenerife, Canary Islands
Tenerife is the largest Canary Island off the coast of Spain and West Africa, and is home to nearly 50 cannabis social clubs. Its locally grown cannabis and locally produced concentrates absolutely should be on your weed bucket list, and its sandy beaches and perfect weather make Tenerife the perfect summer (or winter) vacation. Here, you can enjoy a toke in one of these clubs, then go swim in lava rock pools or hike ancient forest trails in the Anaga Mountains.
Would you rather stay in the U.S.? No problem. There is still plenty of canna-tourism to take in on these shores.
It’s probably no surprise that Denver made the cut for this list. As the first state to legalize recreational cannabis, Colorado has been the Mecca of U.S. 420 tourism since 2012. The cannabis hospitality industry is one of the most developed in the country, so there are endless opportunities to enjoy the weed scene. From mobile cannabis lounges to “bud and breakfasts” to “puff, pass, and paint” classes, Denver is a fantastic location for your cannabis-friendly summer get away. Take a day away from the city to visit the endless splendor of the great outdoors, perhaps paired with an energizing sativa.
“Keep Portland Weird” is a popular slogan for a reason. With its hipster population, funky coffee shops and breweries, and general eccentric style, Portland is a city you’ll never forget, and if you’re looking for a cannabis-friendly destination in the U.S., it’s hard to beat.
One of the coolest activities for the cannabist tourists is one of several of their weed-themed bus tours. Because these are party buses, you are welcome to smoke while you travel from destination to destination. This makes for an enjoyable — and safe — way to enjoy the high-quality cannabis Oregon is proudly known for.
Keep in mind that it is still illegal to smoke cannabis in public, and not every hotel is 420-friendly. Fortunately, there are plenty of pro-cannabis Airbnbs in the area.
Since Alaska legalized cannabis in 2014, Anchorage has become a hip location for a summer vacation (emphasis on summer… unless sun-less days and subarctic temperatures are your thing). The natural beauty of the Last Frontier is truly a sight to see, and the legal cannabis only enhances this wonder.
Anchorage is still developing their weed scene after shutting down cannabis clubs in the area, and there are no public places you can smoke outdoors. This means that after a trip to a dispensary, you will have to stick to enjoying a toke in your cannabis-friendly lodgings instead. However, this won’t stop you from then going out and enjoying a fascinating city wholly unlike the continental U.S.
Los Angeles, California
Despite being the first to legalize medical cannabis, it took quite some time for California to hop on board for recreational. Since then, it has become a popular spot for canna-tourism, and Los Angeles has its own unique advantages. Beyond Disneyland and celebrity sightings, it also has dispensaries a plenty, and even a couple of cannabis-friendly lounges. Not to mention, LA has the first cannabis-friendly hotel in the state, Hicksville Pines Bud & Breakfast. If you’re looking for sun, beaches, and bud, LA is the perfect location for a 420-friendly getaway.
