This week’s Globe Magazine features a useful piece for those who are new to legal cannabis: “The essential guide to buying and consuming pot in Massachusetts.”
The article includes helpful advice on preparing for your first visit to a dispensary, a brief review of the different strains of cannabis, the different forms of cannabis for sale (flower/bud, pre-rolls, vape cartridges, edibles, tinctures, salves & creams, and shatter/wax/dab/butter), average prices, how to beat the lines, and how to pay (cash or debit card).
After reading the article, it might sound like a lot to prepare for, but the actual experience of visiting a dispensary is really not that intimidating. To get a feel for what a trip to a recreational dispensary is like, read one of our customer’s blogs on his first trip: <B.Rutter: My First Legal Cannabis>. If you go as he did during the week, you may experience only a short wait to shop, be served by a friendly and helpful bud tender, and get in and out in less time than you might spend on a quick run to the supermarket. For all of the different types of product available, you may be a little surprised to find, like our customer did, that once you’ve decided how you’ll consume it, the choice among strains is pretty limited.
